Accessing Butler University OneDrive Files

Users are able to access OneDrive in three ways: via computer, online via the web, or via an app installed on a mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet).

Method 1 - Via Computer

Windows 10

Prerequisite: OneDrive application for Windows installed. If you have not already done so, click here for instructions on how to install and sign in to the OneDrive application for Windows.

  1. Click the Windows logo in the taskbar (usually along the bottom of your screen)
  2. Type File Explorer
  3. Double-click File Explorer to open
  4. In the left pane, double-click OneDrive - Butler University
  5. Your files will be displayed
  6. Optional: to create a desktop shortcut for Windows, click here for instructions

Apple MacOS

Prerequisite: OneDrive application for Mac installed. If you have not already done so, click here for instructions on how to install the OneDrive application for MacOS.

  1. Open Finder
  2. OneDrive should be listed in the Favorites section at the top
  3. Double-click to view your files
  4. Optional: to create a desktop alias for Mac OSX, click here for instructions.

Method 2 - Via the Web

Online Web Access - Office.com

  1. In a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc...) go to www.office.com
  2. Sign in using your Butler email address and password
  3. Click OneDrive
  4. Your files will be displayed

Method 3 - Via Mobile App
